I have an 8 week old bunny who seems to throw herself down and flop on her side A LOT. If she isn’t eating or drinking or in her litterbox or trying to shred her phone book or throwing around toilet paper rolls or grooming herself- she is on the floor on her side looking dead. I know once in a while is normal but she does it ALL THE TIME- should I be concerned?

I personally haven’t ever heard of flopping being a bad sign…. flops are considered to be a sign of extreme happiness and relaxation! I’d say she’s very happy

Flops are a positive sign! The more they flop, the more comfortable they are.

haha some bunnies just love to do the dead bunny flop. Two of my bunnies flop a regular amount, and not really on their sides, more their bellies, but every time I look at Atlas he’s pretending to be dead. Every now and then I get so scared I go and poke him.

Great- she’s the cutest little thing and I guess she knows she won the lottery- I cannot wait until she is spayed and can live free range with my other bunny Mr Buns! She gives kisses and binkies like crazy so I guess her flops are just her being happy and comfortable- I’ve just never seen a bunny who does it so much at such a young age.

I have only had her for 6 days so I wasn’t expecting her to feel so comfortable!
