Hi everyone, my bunny Honey has taken a recent liking to eating cardboard and newspaper all of a sudden. I find it really strange and don’t know what started this switch but she just devours any card board she can get her little teeth on! And when I took out all the cardboard from her room she turned to eating the newspaper I lined her litter box and dig box with!! Should I be super concerned that something is wrong or missing from her diet to want to eat these random things constantly??

Well, what does she eat? Is she having enough fibers in her diet? Let’s try to understand what’s happening or maybe she just suddenly decided paper is delicious

Her main diet staple is Timothy hay which she still chews up constantly and has access too all day every day, she also eats a small amount of pellets a day along with veggies like cilantro, romaine lettuce, zucchini, parsley, and whatever else I have that is rabbit safe. Also she gets a small sweet treat most days! She still likes her cardboard though ??‍♀️
