Found this tutorial from my local rescue and it is awesome so I thought I would share!  Bun Jovi has gone through fancy sea grass mats in like a day, which is not financially sustainable!

I made a newspaper mat like the one in the tutorial in about 30 minutes. I also made one out of cardboard strips in about 10 minutes (I just cut strips from a shipping box, rather than folding newspaper)!

Both buns really seem to like the newspaper mats. I think it provides a nice amount of cushion.

Thanks for sharing! It’s a Greta idea, and will save money instead of ordering Seagrass or hemp mats!!!

The only downside is if you have a white bunny their little feet can start looking a bit dingy from the newsprint, but other than that they are great!

I still will spoil mine with grass mats from time to time, but it’s nice to mix it up with free things!

ok – so newspaper is safe for bunnies? What if she ingests some of it?
Sorry, I had no idea LOL
