        Hey all

Wanted to start this thread for fun to share your rabbits favourite toys & maybe inspire others who have fussy buns! It seems pretty common consensus that they don’t really like shop-bought toys (Sam completely ignored the wooden & plastic accessories he came with so I chucked most of them away).

His personal favourite is the good old rosewood basket I bought him which he loves nosing around, nibbling & shredding loved his cardboard house for a while then started ignoring it, so I’m planning to make a new one. He also goes bonkers over my superga trainers so I have to take them off & put them on a high shelf as soon as I get home…shame you can’t give rabbits rubber chew toys, he likes my tablet keyboard a little too much as well

What about you guys? Anything your buns particularly love?

        P.S. bonus points for photos

this was his wicker basket a week ago…there is significantly less of it now!

They love the wall baseboards… if that counts ???

Almost anything willow. They just recently destroyed/ate a little willow basket in roughly 4 hours and they destroyed/ate a large basket overnight lol. Peanut loves throwing stuff around such as cardboard tubes, whereas Buttercup likes knocking down plastic cups and bowling pins.

My bunny loves toilet paper rolls that are cut at the sides and she likes those cat ball toys.

Same with the willow. They love it. I get so much satisfaction seeing them do it aswell because it keeps them so busy and it must work wonders on their teeth. I also get these trio fun balls, one is water hyacinth which is always the first to go, then the wicker next and they always leave the seagrass one. It will be there weeks and they will finally decide it deserves some attention, but it only gets left on the floor in bits and not eaten. It drives me crazy that they don’t sell 3 of the same because I hate buying a new pack until they have used them all. I really don’t want to end up with a stack of sea grass balls lying around haha

Ah yes I saw that trio, really they don’t sell hyacinth balls/twigs/baskets?
Funny about the seagrass, I’ve got seagrass baskets in my room and was worried about my bun chewing them but he’s not touched em!

Stacking cups. Apollo just loves stacking cups. If they are stacked, he MUST unstack them. If they’re unstacked, well he’s really only interested if they’re in his way

They also love their cat tunnel and Ikea bed. Besides that, anything they can chew such as willow, wood chews etc. Also plastic baby keys. Mostly they play with things if they’re in their way, but sometimes they’ll go out of their way to play with something.

I don’t know what they’re called but them balls made of like dried straw he had one when we first got him, then he ate it and it no longer exists… he also loves the sticks from pets at home and all tied up nothing left of that either. He doesn’t play with toys anymore  even though i spend upwards of £30 for him every few months he just eats stray cardboard boxes.

Hard plastic baby toys – baby keys, stacking cups, etc. Hands down the best rabbit toys! They play with those more than any toys that were made for rabbits/small animals.

They also like their Toys R Us for Dogs puzzle toy.

My buns are older so they only like toys they can eat. Unpeeled willow toys are a fave. They don’t care for the peeled toys. I’ve had buns that really loved baby rattle type toys and Olivia used to love her stacking cups too. Bindi has a baby toy cow rattle that he used to throw around when he was being impatient. I’d tell him to “Stop having a Cow”.

My bun likes NEW toys. When I bring home a new package is gets so excited and I open it up for her and she plays with it all day. And after that she never touches it again haha. The only thing she seems to consistently play with are wooden blocks that she’ll knock over when we stack them up. But sometimes I think she is a little compulsive about the blocks not being stacked so when we keep stacking them up on her she gets a little mad that she has to keep knocking them down haha.

Olivia was the same with her stacking cups. She would growl and angrily destroy the piled up cups and throw them around.

I’ll have to try that with the stacking cups!

Anyone else’s bun obsessed with tipping over glasses of water? Sam is so relentless with it I even show visitors as his “party trick” haha

Not quite glasses of water but I’ll set up water bottles like bowling pins and Alfie will knock them over every time!

I brought home miniature bowling pins from the dollar store, Spot and Oreo love knocking them over as well as Spot will toss them around or carry one around with them.
They love nudging around the cat toys with bells in them.
Toilet paper rolls are the go to for toys, I cut them into strips and make balls with little pieces in the center so they make noise, and toilet paper rolls with orchard grass inside.
Phone Books and egg cartons to shed.
A large Cat litter box full of bedding from the pet store, they love to run and jump into it, they will flop and roll around. Makes a huge mess of the bunny room but they love it!
Any mess is worth their happiness and enjoyment

And last but not least, A human obstacle course. I will lay down on the floor with my legs apart and my upper body raised up a little, they could run around and over me for hours without losing interest. Oreo loves to plank kisses on my nose when I do this and tickle me with her long whiskers.

                                    Such personalities!
