It sounds like you have a very happy rabbit
It’s quite normal for many rabbits to not like or be indifferent to being petted. It’s simply not natural for them to be held etc. Where are you petting? I find that all my rabbits have enjoyed being petted on the head, from just above the nose to between the ears. Petting over their body and back tends to be more of a zone that can make them back off a bit. My boy Apollo is a love bug and loves having his head petted. He will come up to me to be pet. My girl Luna is different and will accept head rubs, but not all the time and she doesn’t come up to be petted. Every bun is different
