so ive had my rabbit Juliet for just about a month and a half and shes a very loving rabbit about 3/4 months old and i decided to get her a friend just two days ago but they only had baby bunnies so i decided to give it a shot and took home another little girl (Evie). I was planning on bonding them for a few weeks and then consider putting them in the same cage but ever since theyve seen each other they dont want to be apart. I have them in different cages on the opposite ends of the room but the first night together i woke up to find Juliet climbed out of her c&c cage and was interacting with Evie through the bars of her cage. I dont know how long Juliet was out of her cage but considering how much poop was on the floor i guess it was a while. Thats how i ended up having another bonding session at 4 am lol. The next evening i had left my room for about an hour or two (with both of them in their cages) and returned to see that Evie wasnt in her cage I immediately started freaking out and looking everywhere for her until i found her in Juliets cage. Evie’s cage is pretty high and compared to how teeny tiny she is i didnt think she could climb out so I had left her cage without a top so thats my mistake but i dont understand how she somehow got into Juliet’s cage. Her body doesnt fit through the grids and i dont see any other way she could have gotten in but somehow she did. These two are inseparable after less than two days. They have no problem sharing food, water, toys, or litter box and have never fought they are always snuggling up to each other. It seems like theyre ready to be cage mates but i just dont know how comfortable i am having them together so soon especially with Juliet being at least 3 times Evie’s size. What do you guys think?
