        Hi everyone!
we have the foam puzzle mats down in our bunny pen and i have taped the seams with duct tape to limit what slips between the cracks. A little while ago Bandit decided to eat a piece about the size of a thumbnail (actually smaller). I was able to get the rest of it from him and I have removed the rest of the duct tape. Should I be concerned?! Has this happened to anyone else? Bandit has eaten his fair share of things he shouldn’t including a rubber band, foam, linoleum flooring, paper, the “0” button off the television remote and some potato with no ill effects so at this point I’m almost used to it. He is so freaking quick you barley have time to grab it. Famous words in our house are “BANDIT WHAT DID YOU JUST EAT?!?!?!” The poor thing is so use me sticking my finger in his mouth sweeping for things he shouldn’t have eaten he doesn’t even fuss anymore.

He’s eating normally and it is bunny sleep time right now and neither of my rabbits poo much in the day so I wont know about droppings for another hour or so. I have given him so extra greens and he is eating hay. There isn’t a vet around open on a Sunday for me to call.
Any suggestions or advice is welcome!

I would imagine a small piece could get compressed pretty well and move through, but at any sign of lethargy or no poops, see a vet. During these situations, thats really the best course of action.

Encourage hay consumption to help things through, as well as water consumption

Hopefully his stomach acid will break down most of the the duct tape and the rest get through. He probably chewed it, they can’t really swallow big chunks of stuff due to their anatomy.

Hay and water consumption should be encouraged as Muchelle says. easiest way to get extra water in a bun is via greens. Serve them dripping wet. Monitor poop and appetite – well, you know all that.

              Thanks everyone!
The little fart just left me a pile of poop, they are small but that is normal for his first trip after his sleep. He’s now snuggled up with his brother yawning up a storm…Apparently eating everything in sight is exhausting *eye roll*. My hubby has dubbed him The big eared miscreant lol
