Hi all, my baby Oscar has changed a lot in recent weeks and I’m not sure why.

I had him at the age of 8 weeks, he was wrongly sexed and at the age of 4 months I discovered he was in fact male – after a lot of arm humping and courting. I booked him in for a neuter which he had at 5months old. He is now 13months.

In the summer, I adopted a rabbit and attempted bonding over a 4month period there were many positive points but the pairing did not work out. And so Lola was taken back to rescue in November.

Since around the end of December, Oscar displayed some strange behaviours, very bossy and lunging if he didn’t like something or had had enough. he has become very temperamental. He seems to be obsessive in everything he does. He has started digging obsessively in corners or clothing. His litter box habits have gone out the window (he’s free roaming but has his own room as a base which he is pooping all over – I’ve put this down initially to the fact that lola’s Scent may still be there but he moved back into that room at the beginning of November and it wasn’t an issue back then. He seems to be displaying some obsessive behaviour towards me – he has not tried mounting me yet but he has become overly attentive of my feet and arms (behaviours he displayed at 4 months old, prior to neutering). He is also moody when he does not get his own way recently and still lunges from time to time. He is different from one day to the next.

He still seems happy enough, he flops and lounges at my feet and binkies. But some days he will completely ignore me.

Is this something I should be concerned about or is there something specific I can do?

I would be grateful for any suggestions/insight.
