hello everyone, my rabbit’s been having a bit of a problem with her eye lately basically she sheds white tears that if ignored for a couple of minutes will dry and turn into white crust that i have to remove with a warm cotton pad and sometimes it’s so dry i have to pick a little bit of the fur around her eyes, i already booked an appointment for her but still i would like to know if anyone had this kind of problem before because this isn’t the first time it happened to her last time it happened and i took her to the vet (she is a rabbit savvy vet btw) she gave her an eye drop which seemed to work. i will say tho that this only started to happen when maleficent (my rabbit) decided to stop cleaning her eyes and instead rely on me to clean them for her. does anyone what might be the reason behind her milky tears or why she even stopped cleaning her eyes and assigned that mission to me ? :/

It could be a clogged tear duct possibly due to a dental problem, rather than something actually wrong with her eye. When that’s the case they really can’t keep up with cleaning their eyes, even though they try.

Not sure though, your vet will confirm!

My Bam had an eye-infection last summer, he got Fucithalmic drops to be put on twice/day for 2 weeks.
