  Hi everyone,
  
  my second time posting on here for advice. I have two indoor bonded bunnies.
  
  So, a couple of months back my Ollie boy had GI Stasis. He went to 3 different vets and had many needles and fluids put into him. Luckily he pulled through.
  
  A few weeks ago I noticed these scabs on his back, They’re not by his neck but more so in the middle of his back, half way down on his body.
  
  They look like two separate scabs and a bald spot where hair is beginning to grow back now. I was just wondering is this just left over scabs from vet visits or something else I need to take him to the vets for? He doesn’t seem bothered by it and I sit with my bunnies quite a lot and have a camera in their room indoors and never see him scratch or try to get at it.
  
  I was also wondering if maybe it could have been bitten by our female bun or something more serious? Any advice would help, there is no flaking or any signs of bleeding. Thank you in advance. Picture below.

  Picture doesn’t show up, but delayed scab formation is not unusual in NY experience. It happened to Wick before. About 3 weeks after his last penicillin injection, I noticed a bump producing a lot of flakes. It was small and I noticed fur was growing out of it. I called Wick’s vet and it was ruled normal. A week later I couldn’t find it anymore, but I was told it can take a while to heal.
  
  If it grows or worsens, I’d go to the vet to see if there was a bad reaction or late onset infection at the puncture point.
  
  In terms of it being a bite, I’m unsure. How long have they been bonded, are they both fixed, and how do you perceive their relationship?

  Thank you, and yes their relationship is really good no aggression at all. Might take him to the vets anyway so they can check. Thanks again.

  Scabs developing at injection sites (sometimes even a week or more later) is not uncommon.
