I’ve taken Daisy to the vet and my vet prescribed her medicine tablets. She said to cut them in 4 and give them to her… the problem is I don’t know how to give it to her. Any ideas?

What about hiding it in a piece of banana?

You can either hide it in a treat or crush it up and make a paste. You can flavor it with some applesauce or something. I’ve had to do that will Wooly. Fair warning though, if it’s an antibiotic tablet, those usually taste nasty.

I have tried to do what Sarah said but Daisy is too clever… She would eat around the medicine and just eat the banana, apple, etc…. She to smart for her own good lol. I will try what LB said to do with the apple sauce and see if she eats it… Hopefully she does or I’ve run out of options

Yeah, you have to really disguise it. They can taste it, even when you try to hide it in something. I’ve used a little apple sauce with Wooly, but it still ends up being a struggle.

Can you really pulverize the pill, or soak it and mix it in apple sauce/water/banana mush? So maybe soak the pill in a tiny bit of water, then add banana, then feed it? Unsure how it affects the integrity of treatment.
