Hello. New to this forum and relatively new to bunny ownership. We’ve got a now 6 month old buck Holland Lop. We got him at 8 weeks old and he litter trained right away. He is allowed to roam free during the day, but at night we keep him confined to my daughter’s bedroom where we keep his cage and litter. During the day he is very good about using the litter, however, recently (about a month now) he is having trouble at night. Every morning we wake to find poop scattered all over the room. There is a nightlight in the roo. So I can’t imagine it’s a vision issue. Any thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.

Rabbits are pretty good at handling themselves in the dark, so I don’t think that’s the issue.
Is he neutered yet? It might be he’s having some hormonal behaviour. He might be exploring around and marking his territory with poops

That does make sense. No, he’s not neutered. We just brooched tgat subject this week so we’re heading tgat direction next. Still just odd that he does it only at night. Thank you.

If he’s associated your presence with being adherent, it could be he drops the litterbox habits at night time because you are not around. In the beginning, Wick would only be adherent if someone was present and watching him.
