I have a new bunny and after the first night she really warmed up to me… licking me, coming up to nudge and sniff me, etc. So then, my boyfriend who doesn’t know anything about bunnies left his charger (plugged in but not connected to phone) next to her cage where she chewed it while we were asleep. I was worried she might have gotten burned so I had to pick her up to do a check. (She’s fine) and now she doesn’t come to me when I call her.. ? I just stayed next to her cage and she did come up to me eventually but every time I would turn to greet her she would just turn her around and show her back to me. She’s been doing this all day. Is she still mad at me? Will she not trust me anymore? Is this normal? Do bunnies really have sass? ?

Bunnies definitely do have sass, in unbelievable amounts! She’s probably not thrilled about being picked up, to bunnies it’s a reminder of being lifted by predators so it could have made her feel unsafe. I’m sure she’ll get over it, I haven’t heard of bunnies holding a grudge for long.
