        Hi,

My bunny Muffin is potentially moving into a shed soon and since we have so much of the extra space, I thought that we could house another bunny from a shelter. I did have another bun Munchie who died during her spay, but I noticed no change in Muffin but recently she has been showing some signs of boredom/loneliness? (Digging, flattening things out) She only displays this behaviour in her cage though, so it could just be a bit of a mood after being taken inside from her run  I thought that with the company of another bunny she could become a little less bored?

        Any help appreciated

If your bunny is moving into a shed soon she’s going to have a lot more space (always a good thing!!), but probably less interaction with humans, so maybe it would be a good idea to look into finding her a partner BEFORE moving her into the shed(that way it’s neutral for when they are both bonded?

In general rabbits are a lot happier with companions, due to the fact they are social creatures, and although there are some exceptions here on the forum who have a LOT of human attention who are happy as single buns, I personally think rabbits should be kept in pairs (apart from exceptional circumstances etc)
Of course some bonds are more difficult than others, but if you talk to the shelter you could potentially bring Muffin to meet potential friends and let her pick one out/talk to the shelter about help with bonding!
