Last night i got home from work, gave the boys their nightly salad, and proceeded to let them out. But neither of them wanted to come out of their cages all night. Nothing was enticing them. They would smell treats and would only want them if they could have them in their cages. Finally at midnight Asriel decided he wanted to come out, but at that point it was time for me to sleep as I get up at 5am. They wolfed down their food, ate tons of hay all night, and drank water all night. They hopped around in their cages just fine, but they wouldn’t come out. This morning when I woke up they seemed more active and pawed at the cages and scarfed down their pellets. It’s awful cold here in MA at the moment, could that have something to do with it? They’re also going through a big molt. Just curious as to what’s up because they usually love being out and get fussy when the other one is out. Neither one appear to be sick, and or the only slightly traumatic thing that happened to them was a nail trim at the vet on Sunday.
