Thank you for your reply Jersey Girl. Yes its incredibly difficult for my friend as she has bonded so much with little Ben. His story is sad. Myself and husband were on holiday in Spain in November. Beside our hotel was a park which has chickens, hens, pigeons, ducks all running about and unfortunately rabbits. People were dumping them there. I discovered Ben who is a REW lionhead being lifted and manhandled by children infront of their parents and had to intervene and take hi from them. He was a very sweet docile friendly boy and so placid. I know REW buns have poor sight too . I fed him twice a day for a few days while I tried to contact rabbit rescues or anyone who could help him. He was sooo skinny, it was very upsetting. I owned rabbits for 10 years all free range house buns sadly my last boy past away in July and I am still heartbroken so bunnies are very much in my heart. So my friend seen the post on a Spanish rabbit facebook page and I met her with Ben who I had sneaked into my hotel. She cannot speak English nor I spanish so we have been communicating through a Google translator. She has been an angel and saved not only Bens life but another little tri coloured Dutch with severe ringworm on all 4 feet. They werr horrendous. She treated her for 5 weeks and found an amazing home for her also. The littke Dutch weighed 600g! Now weighs 1600g. She just adored Ben so this has been so hard. On Friday she found a very good home for Ben and she is devastated at having to say goodbye. I do not understand how people can dump littke bunnies and expect them to survive.
