I just received a 2lb Holland lop doe to bond with my neutered American fuzzy lop, Peter, but I have no idea what clinics spay rabbits here. I live in Washington and will be willing to travel so please offer clinics if you live here too!

I assume that you mean the state of Washington. Here is a link to the page listing some vets in the Seattle area:
          http://www.rabbitmeadows.org/shelter/vets.asp?animal=1

You will need to keep your two rabbits separated until the female has been spayed and a month or so has elapsed since the surgery, then you can begin the bonding process. You don’t want any fighting or injuries to occur or any grudges to form if they fight. Don’t even let them out together for play and exercise at the same time.

Here are two good articles on bonding:

            Thank you
Unfortunately my parents decided that they knew about rabbit bonding so they put them out together for play time a couple times and I had to split up a couple fights. Sigh I really wanted to start them out with some pre bonding.
And now they probably have some grudges against each other

Ouch! I hope that it didn’t do any lasting damage to their bond.
Maybe it’s best to involve your parents with all the steps you have to go through and why these are so important to rabbits. Most people see rabbits as some sort of placid overgrown hamsters, but they are surprisingly spirited and territorial.

I hope that the spay will go well, and that you can get them started on a life together With rabbits females are generally more dominant and more territorial than males, so it should be a bit easier than if it were the other way around.

Before I forget: welcome to the forum (Also: we want pics! we want pics!…more cute buns!)

I have created a small board on Pinterest if anyone is interested.
It’s called “pets” and my name is Peter and Daisy

Please be sure that your parents understand how dangerous it is to put rabbits together who haven’t both been spayed and neutered and haven’t gone through the proper bonding procedures. Rabbits can severely injure one another when they fight, and may come to dislike each other so much that they will never want to be together.

Thank you I have talked to them about wanting to keep them separate until 2 or 3 weeks after her spay. I checked both of them as well and they are fine
