Here’s my question: I’ll be leaving my bun alone overnight for the first time ever. He’s used to being alone during the day while I’m gone and he is free roam/has plenty of toys etc. so I’m not too worried about exercise (though he may get lonely
). However, this will be the first time I won’t be there to feed him in the morning. Is it okay to just double up on pellets the night before?
Gizmo gets: 2 to 3 tbsp of pellets per day that he eats throughout the day, sometimes over a day and a half. A handful of leafy greens in the morning and at night that he also takes his time getting through. And a treat in the morning and at night. And of course, unlimited hay.
If I give his normal amount of greens the night before I leave, but double the pellets, would that be okay? Then he could go back to his normal feeding schedule.
The other option is asking a friend to come feed him for me.
I dunno, what do you guys think? If I were gone longer than one night, I would definitely have someone come feed him, but for just one night? Doesn’t seem worth it.
