So Oreo threw up a little in the middle of the night. Here is my dilemma: either she didn’t throw up a hairball, or she did and Luna ate it . I’m very doubtful as to the latter, but just in case…if Luna did eat a wad of fur and it caused a blockage, would it be apparent by now (12+ hours later)?

To my knowledge, it’s impossible for a rabbit to vomit, based on its anatomy. What makes you believe she threw up, since you’re also wondering where the furball may be?

It would probably translate into poo size/presence of poos within that time.

Are any of her behaviors concerning? Peeing, pooping, eating, energy?

I don’t know if cat vomit (Oreo is a cat!) would be particularly appetizing to a bunny, but buns do tend to chew up what they eat. It’s different with their own hair because they dont actually eat it, they swallow it hair by hair as they groom themselves.

If she’s behaving perfectly normal 12+ hours later I think she’ll be fine. Hay and water are the best things, as you know.

That makes much more sense… haha! Sorry Luna!

As a small anecdote, when I groom Wick (hand groom), I pile everything as a ball on the floor and when we’re done, he does go over to it and attempts to chew at it and figure out what it is. I haven’t let him do it long enough to see if he’ll swallow it, haha.

He’d probably swallow it, Wick =/ On a Friday evening. Just so you can spend the whole weekend worrying. Buns do know how to keep their hoomins on their toes :/

I really can’t imagine a bun eating kitty hairball puke, but who knows?

Agreed. My little toes are tired too….
