I have had my rabbit thumper for some time now. She is about 2 years old maybe a little older and she is a lionhead. Anyways I got a new rabbit which is now 9 weeks old and he is a mini Rex. My girls keeps running toward him and nips at his behind. He has also grabbed his ear and ripped some hair out and made him squeal, which I had to separate them immediately. How do I get them to bond properly? Or is thumper always going to be mean?

You can’t just plonk two rabbits together. You need to separate, pre bond and then start actual bonding sessions. However, you can’t begin bonding sessions til all involved have been neutered and spayed so you’re going to have to keep them separate for at least a few more months.

Agree with Sarah 100%. Plus you’re going to seriously stress out your new bun, like a lot. She’s been weaned about 3ish weeks ago, moved to a new environment, and then you just put her with a new bun and not even let her settle in. You need to let her settle and bond with you and learn her new surroundings. If she gets stressed she can be come seriously Ill.

It’s okay, just read up on bonding around here and you’ll know exactly what you need to do when the time comes! Bonding is a lot of work and most people have no clue about it at first (I didn’t!)
