My little Nimbus is a Jersey Wooly (unsure of exact parentage) and is basically a walking cloud. Now that I got her poopy butt under control (they had her on wood shavings and she was just a mess) I’m trying to keep control on the little mats she is getting. For the most part I can give her a general brushing with a stickler brush and she doesn’t mind. But her back feet, legs and lower belly seem to have more small mats (not to the skin just in the hair itself) and she hates me trying to brush them. I can do a little at a time holding her up against my chest. I really don’t want to trance as I’ve heard that is very bad for buns and is the opposite of calming. We don’t know her age either so I don’t want to panic her. She is such a sweet little bunny, I don’t want to drive her to anger but I don’t want the tiny mats to get bad either.
Am I worrying to much or do I need to bite the bullet and trance her? (One of my others does not trance at all we learned pretty early on so I am not sure if she even would tbh)
