I’m new here but am excited to have entered the realm of bunny ownership. I recently got a baby Netherland dwarf bunny (her name is Cinnamon Bun haha) and she’s been doing great the past few days I’ve had her. Though, yesterday she began sneezing. Her sneezes are dry and there is extremely little to no discharge at all from her nose. We moved my furniture around in my room yesterday and I thought maybe that had kicked up some dust that didn’t agree with her. She mostly sneezes when she’s on my bed, and it’s intermittent (doesn’t happen again and again and again just occasionally). Her eyes are clean and bright and she’s been jumping around my room. Her poops are normal (they’re all over my bed lol) and she seems otherwise in good health. Then today I came back from getting more litter for her litter box and her dew claw was bleeding. Just my luck lol! So I have a vet appointment for Wednesday, and we are going to see what’s up, if anything. Until then I was looking for some peace of mind on the sneezing. I really hope it’s not a URI ?

Hi! She sounds adorable. I’m 100% not a vet, so I’m glad you will be seeing a vet anyway, but my vet said that occasional sneezes are normal (just like for us), as long as you don’t see eye or nasal discharge and it’s not all the time. My bunny also sneezes when she gets into things. If only all parts of my apartment were perfectly clean and dustless! But they aren’t, and my rabbit sometimes sneezes when she is noodling around in the cracks behind furniture and stuff. It’s good to have a vet listen to her lungs, but just so you know healthy rabbits sneeze, too

You might want to get some styptic powder to stop minor nail bleeding. Good luck with your bunny!

Thankyou so much for your reply! She is quite the cutie  Thankfully, she hasn’t sneezed at all today besides once in the morning (that I’ve noticed). My room can get quite dusty haha, and I have a down comforter so that may also be it! Her nail also stopped bleeding and she’s not licking it anymore, which I assume is good. Anyway, I figure its probably best to go to the vet to get a check up anyhow. You never know with pet stores and injured critters haha
