Are they definitely dry poops, or are they just circular to your knowledge? When Wick eats cecotropes and drops some out of his mouth, he does commonly eat them from the floor. Those ones are usually round still, but wetter. They don’t look like regular cecotropes.

Hmm. Peanut has tried eating regular poops a few times when he was younger but spat them out. I thought it was pretty odd!

Maybe he is eating them to taste them before he realises they’re just normal poops and nothing yummy, but by the time he realises he’s already gobbled them up?!

Ah, the crumbly mess is also something Wick leaves. I believe this is normal, compared to Wick anyways. He usually leaves crumbles of a dry poops on the sofa. Sometimes half eaten dry poops are left as well. I have a black sofa so when I exit the bedroom in the morning, I usually need to use tape to get all the crumbly poop out because it’s so…. Everywhere, haha.

I’ve seen Thor eat 1 or 2 regular poops, not sure why either! Sometimes she just eats half a poop and leaves the other half lying around  She’s also well fed, and got a clean bill of health yesterday from the vet. So perhaps it’s just a strange quirk? 

Just once, while my bunny had finished a long grooming session and was sitting there looking at me, she calmly spat a regular poop out of her mouth. It was pretty funny, tbh. I assume that she got it in her mouth by mistake while eating cecatropes.

I’ve wondered why they don’t do that more often. I mean, how do they know whether to aim at the litter box or at the mouth?
