This is Chibi, she is currently 9 weeks old. I was told she was a broken blue, at times i can see it but in different lighting it looks different. Let me know what you think!
Also, I have questions about having a baby bun! Chibi is very sweet and curious. The breeder i got her from had said even though their full personalities are not there yet, Chibi had the biggest out of the litter. I also know her personality now might not be the case later when she is older and spayed. Right now she is very sweet, coming up to us curiously, even our dog. She also is so curious about our other bun (5 month spayed lionhead) and wishes nothing more than to cuddle and groom her, but they are in separate cages by each other because Chibi isnt fixed yet and my older bun tries to bite her (even through the cage bars).  I don’t know if its true or not that bonding with your bun can be easier if you got them young? (im referring to chibi and I bonding) I can already see our relationship blossoming, i see her getting more and more used to me each day. Shes definitely an explorer, making herself comfortable wherever she goes. When we first brought her home she had instantly made herself comfortable in her new home, running around binking everywhere, jumping up on top of things, exploring everywhere she could. I could see what the breeder meant when she had such a personality already. I had talked to another girl who had gotten a bun from the same litter I got Chibi (Chibi’s sister), she had told me her bun is very shy and skittish. I’m not really sure what my questions are, i am open to opinions and tips. Will her and I bond easier? (I’ve had my older bun for almost 3 months and she is still very cautious around me; her personality is more timid, shy.) Will Chibi’s personality completely change when she is older and spayed? Will bonding both my buns be easier because they will be roommates for a few months? We will start bonding once Chibi is spayed and healed. I just hope my older bun will stop trying to bite chibi through the cage bars. When I let her out to play she goes up to chibi’s cage trying to bite her. When I let Chibi out, chibi goes up to her and then she tries to bite her again. Will this behaviour diminish soon?
Thank you so much! Please give me feedback on all of this.

You’ll probably be able to tell better when her adult coat comes in.

Cloversmom, thank you so much! We love her with all our hearts and knew right when we saw her she was the one.

LBJ10, is there a specific age when her coat might come in?

Okay, nothing prepared me for the ridiculous amount of cute that appeared as I scrolled down. SQUEEE!!!!!

As to colour, that’s really not an area I’m an expert in. Both my buns are white…. But as for whether her personality will change with the spay, that is mostly a misconception. From my experience and as a long time forum member, most bunnies don’t drastically change their personality after a spay. That being said, most baby bunnies are more cuddly and will seem more bonded to their humans and that can change a bit as they get older. And that’s perfectly normal so don’t be alarmed or think she doesn’t love you anymore if that happens.

Either broken blue or a mis marked magpie ( also known as black and white harlequin )
Her face could make her mistaken for magpie but I think broken blue is most likely from her back markings as it appears more a patch of blue as apposed to stripes or part stripes …

                      Those eyes… sweet lil thing!

I want to say she’s a broken blue but there is some brown in there near one eye and nose. And maybe on the ears too? The colour looks different in one pic to the next. The darker blue near eye and nose made me think maybe she could a broken smoke pearl too… idk!!

Thank you all so much for your feedback! Her dad is a white/grey magpie harlequin and her mama was a blue eyed white. The color on her head and back look different, so it’s quite hard to tell. As for her and I bonding- how long and how often should I have my bonding sessions with her? I feel like her and I are getting closer, letting me pet her for long periods and not running away when I’m close, even if I’m standing. With others she’s a little less tolerant. I love her so much and often find myself spending my free time just watching her play and be adorable (she’s very clumsy). I really hope once she’s spayed and healed and I introduce her to her sister Buneary they are a good match again thank you all, I love hearing your opinions.

Buneary – Their adult coat usually comes it around 6-9 months. When looking at their baby coat, the colors can look distorted. So you might not know for sure until then. Right now, she looks like a broken magpie (i.e. tricolor). I say that because there is some variation in the “blue” as well as an asymmetrical pattern.

I believe that your rabbit’s aggression could be a dominant behavior or it could be jealousy. Chibi’s coloring does look blue.

An update on Buneary’s aggression towards Chibi –
Buneary was out playing in the pen next to Chibi’s cage. I was petting Buneary and she was so calm, the baby comes close (still in her cage) trying to see what’s going on and once Buneary spotted her she bit me real hard drawing blood again. The situation is frustrating, I don’t expect them to be bonded or anything I just wish Buneary would accept her. She’s hurting the baby and I, and I know it isn’t her fault..will this behavior diminish over time with them being neighbors? Buneary is also marking more all over the pen and her cage, being very territorial. Chibi’s hormones are going to be with her until I can get her spayed which isn’t until a few months. Is there any way to help the situation? To get her to accept the baby?k

Buns that are spayed that live in close proximity to an unaltered bun will cause them to act hormonally. They feed off of the younger one’s hormones. So no, the only way it will stop is when Chibi gets spayed. This behavior will have no impact on them bonding, as Chibi will have a different scent post spay. You don’t need to have them so close until after Chibi’s spay. So I’d keep them in separate rooms. It’ll only stress out your older girl and it could make Chibi fearful of Buneary when the time comes to bond them.
