We finally have both new cages built. Asriel settled in nicely and loves the shelf. He spends all his time on it. Bombur hasn’t even moved since it was all finished. So for the past hour he’s been in a hunched position. We tried luring him with treats into the new cage, but all he did was sniff them and go back to hunching. Change usually stresses him out, but I’m just worried considering this is his new space. Any ways to make the transition smoother on him?

Hmm I’d say the best thing you can do for him right now is just give him some time to adjust. Just let him sniff out the new place and get used to it in his own time. Some rabbits are just not as curious as others. You can maybe put all his food there so that he knows that if he wants to eat he has to go the new cage. If that doesn’t work then just let him eat or else he won’t get enough food. You can also try leaving something he really loves over there and let him come sniff out and explore himself without the feeling people are hovering over him.
