So. Hope is a 3 ( almost 4 ) year old mini lop who is about a half pound to a pound under weight because of some diet issues she was having during the spring/summer. But thats just some background on her. About almost 24 hours ago she thought it was a good idea to find a fruitloop that I apparently dropped. And being a rabbit, she ate it. Since the incident, she has been eating and drinking normally. Has had a couple semi-liqud dropping poops. but as the time goes on its less. She is also pooping normally along with these poops. I’m pretty sure everything will be back to normal in the next 24 hours.Anyone else had this happen to them? Ive had her since she was 5 months old and ive always been so careful to clean up before she comes out of her pen since she is mostly free range, but buns being buns, she finds the frootloop.

SO many people have had similar things happen to them! Rabbits are notorious for finding stuff that’s been dropped on the floor. I have no personal experience with froot loops, but it’s probably one of the least dangerous food items a bun can find and eat. If a bun eats chocolates a vet should be contacted. Avocado can be poisonous to rabbits. My Bam found an apple on a nightly table-raid and at half of it and became gassy. I’ve caught him with a pork rind between his jaws. My other rabbit stole a whole bag of jelly beans once and thank goodness I was there to stop him.

Unfortunately bunnies have a sixth sense about what they shouldn’t eat and then a burning desire to eat it lol. My two haven’t eaten a food item that they shouldn’t but Peanut has eaten plastic.

I caught Clover running around a few nights ago with the bag of Craisens in her mouth.  (The cats had knocked it off the counter.  Little demons)  No idea if she’d eaten any of them.  She DID gobble down a honey nut Cheerio I dropped one morning while she was sitting next to me one morning.  No ill effects except that she keeps trying to eat my breakfast.

And my own two, particularly Fernando who is close to his first birthday in January, are going into rambunctious overdrive.

In my first few months with Jake, he found a bag of honey roasted peanuts (at at point, I had no idea how high he could jump, lol) and he chewed through and ate a few before I noticed.

I PANICKED. I called the vet and he just told me to keep an eye on his poops. But I remember being SO WORRIED.

Jake was totally fine. Just wanted to worry his mom a little I guess

And I learned…peanuts need locked away
