  I brought Snowflake into my house due to the heat at the end of the summer.. Not home a lot and wanted a better life for her. I found a loving home where she is now. (I MISS HER) I have contact with her new owner. While she was with me, she would hop in and out of her hutch to play and binky and then back in to eat and poo. New owner says she never hops out on her own…and only cautiously hops around, staying close to her hutch. Is this normal behavior as she gets used to new owner? She’s eating and drinking…I just want to make sure she’s happy

  it can take a while for a bun to feel safe and at home in their new home. it could take a few months or more for her to adjust. She’s still new to the environment. she really just needs time.

  Yep, normal as she gets used to the new place, new sights, and new smells Your friend who took her in should work on gentle trust building. Example, your friend should lay on the floor for a while while Snowflake is out, but your friend shouldnt reach out or try to pet Snowflake. This will teach your bun that your friend is safe and it will build trust.
