  As some of you know, I’ve given Wick a lot of shots, but he’s medication-free now, which I’m very happy to say. I’ve read about rabbits who develop sores and scabs from shots, but Wick never had at all.
  
  About a week ago perhaps, I noticed a small crusty scab on Wick’s back that was producing a lot of flaked skin in that area. It’s not noticeable on the surface; only when parting the fur and being around the area is there some skin flakes. Based on location and size, I’m guessing this is from a shot.
  
  His last shot was on 11/06 (3 weeks ago), and there’s no knowing if that scab site is even from the last shot. Wick doesn’t seem to have any others at all. Is it concerning that the scab is still there? He doesn’t pick at it particularly or groom it. I just noticed it while I do my regular checks.
  
  I attempted to photograph it, but it’s small and surrounded by black fur so my camera can’t pick up the detail. It’s very small and from when I first saw it about a week or two ago, it doesn’t seem to have improved or worsened. The only noticable difference is the small fur that was sticking out of it is fully grown now it seems.
  
  I do plan to call Wick’s vet as well to inquire about a recommended ointment or treatment if the scabs persistence seems unusual from Wick’s vet’s opinion.

  Not sure if you remmeber but my fluffykins had those little bumps that turned into scabs. He’s currently still left with the scabs (the two that the vet didn’t pick off with his finger…) and the other sites are sort of scabbing over.
  
  I know I asked my vet if I could use Vaseline (the plain kind) and he said it was fine. I prefer Vaseline to sudocrem (what the vet used) as the Vaseline creates a barrier and helps the scab to dry and fall of faster.. leaving healed skin underneath.
  
  I haven’t yet used anything on his scabs (too scared to mess with them tbh and they are tiny) but if I saw him scratching at them I’d probably use the Vaseline – it really dries it up a lot faster.
  
  I have a kid with severe eczema whom frequenly gets scabs from itching.. hence my intimate knowledge on Vaseline and how well it works.

  Edit: having said all that three weeks is quite a while from shot to reaction. I know my vets acted like it was impossible for my fluffykins to get a reaction from his vaccs after only 1 week.. (but then confirmed as such in the next breath haha) so be prepared to hear that. You’re sure it can’t be mites or something?
