        Hello everyone!

This morning before work I checked on my little lop (3 months old). Gave him some
Fresh hay, water, and left for work.

I got a frantic telephone call from my girlfriend saying the bun was acting weird, pooped in his crate everywhere (she thought it was diarrhea upon further inspection it was not) and had dried blood around his nose. It should be noted he poops in his litter box and may have a stray dropping here and there. She said he was responding to interaction and when out of his cage he was running around fine and not breathing heavy.

Now a little background. Mo is by himself in an extra large enclosure. He often has binky moments and bounces around like a nut in his cage.

When I got home I interacted with him for a bit. He was definitely slower then normal but would respond to nudging me to be pet. No clicking, grunting, grinding etc. I saw he was eating but he was picking up his food playing with it for a second and dropping it. He is drinking perfectly fine.

He seems very interested in eating but he isn’t chewing anything. Any thoughts on what to do? He’s not showing any signs of discomfort or stress and we have no clue how he hurt himself. The blood around his nostrils was cleaned up and there is no sign of where it came from. His airway is clear and his respiration’s are a little high but no labored breathing. He’s resting a bit more then normal but other then that he seems fine.

Any tricks to get him to eat the pellets? He’s nibbling on hay just fine.

Oh his urine is clean and free of blood. His stool is no different and shows no signs of GI issues

Did you look in his mouth? I’m wondering if it was a tooth injury (based on what you’re describing).
