I’m looking for some recommendations for a grooming brush for my Holland Lop. I can’t decide which one to get, there’s so many! Also, I usually groom her about once every 3 days, is that amount correct or should I be grooming her more or less?

I have mini lops (which are the UK equivalent of holland lops). I only really brush them when they’re moulting, since they hate it. Since I stroke them a lot, that tends to dislodge any loose hair, which I find works fine as long as they’re not moulting.

I’ve tried various brushes when they’re moulting, a fine wire one (both hate) and a plastic glove thing (don’t mind, but won’t sit for long and isn’t that effective). The most painless efficient way I’ve found is using a sticky lint roller. You’ll be amazed by how much hair comes out and how quickly.

Every 3 days is probably a good habit if she doesn’t mind it, but when she’s moulting it will need to be at least daily.

I’d 100% recommend the furminator. I have a Holland / mini lop (I’m in the UK) so I use the one for short haired cats and I absolutely love it. A few gentle strokes and *so* much fur comes sliding out.

If you’re detered by the price, just check out YouTube reviews of it. That sealed the deal for me and I’m glad I didn’t need to spend weeks (and £££) experimenting with different types of brushes.
