  I got a new bun recently (haven’t posted about him as I haven’t even really been on much since making this account).
  
  Anyway he likes to pee under his litter box instead of in it (by peeing over the side) and he got urine on his feet and wasn’t really cleaning them so I gave him a bath. Linus did not enjoy his bath…
  
  I think I might have gotten a bit of water or possibly even some soap in his eye or perhaps he got a bit of hay or something in it on his own afterwards but this morning I noticed he was keeping his eye closed and it has some discharge/gunk around it (like the stuff that I call “sleepies” are)
  
  Should I try to flush it with some saline solution or do a warm compress on it or should I just try to take him to the vet? Im currently trying to find a new vet that I like as I don’t like my current vet because they don’t really seem to know much about the animals (not up to date on Timothy/alfala debate with baby buns, didn’t know what was wrong with my bird when she was dying and actually told me “don’t be surprised if she just drops dead” because she couldn’t figure out what was wrong, etc) so I would rather not take her to the vet and waste money if they won’t really know any more than I might or than anyone on here might before I find a more knowledgeable vet.

  Oh I can’t see the pictures. The link isn’t working. If there is discharge though you definitely need a vet. Try to search for a new vet ASAP! I’m gonna send you a link in which you can type on your state and the website pulls up vets that are educated with rabbits. His eye can get infected.

  You should take him to the vet if he has an eye infection, it’s not the sort of thing that heals on its own.
  
  For future reference, you don’t need to bath your rabbit, it can cause them to go into shock and is very distressing for them. If they get poop stuck to their bum then you might be advised to give it a butt bath, but you certainly don’t need soap if you are bathing them. Having pee on their feet is not a reason to bathe them.
  
  He’s probably not deliberately peeing over the side of the litter box, you probably just need to try one with higher sides.
