The buns are having their RHD2 vaccine tomorrow – they had their standard RHD/myxi combi vaccine two weeks ago. They’d had that before so I wasn’t worried but they’ve not had this new one before so I’m a little nervous. Are there any side effects?

Bam has had Filavac twice and no side effects. His latest shot was on Nov 1 so side effects would’ve cropped up by now.

He’s had Cunipravac once about a year ago, no side effects. But it’s probably Filavac you’ll be getting.

I didn’t see any difference either last year.
But I’m not doing it next year as the V2 requires a jab every 6 months….

                They’ve had it done now

Yes, every 6 months is the most ideal apparently. I’ll just incorporate their health check with the vaccination so it’s one vet trip every 6 months.

Filavac is recommended every 6 months in areas with high contagion. Otherwise it’s once a year and a booster if there’s an outbreak near you.
