Hi everyone. My bunny Alfie has a huge fear of being held (which is normal because they are prey animals). I’ve been doing some
exercises a couple times a week to help Alfie get over this fear. I’ve noticed that his nails are getting pretty long. I don’t know how I will be able to trim them,
especially sense he hates being held. Is there any special way I can hold him, or any tips on how to keep him calm?

P.S – He plays on hardwood floors everyday. Do you think this helps trim them down for me?

        Thanks,

        Ellie

Can you clip while he’s lounging?

We have a bunny who hates having her nails trimmed AND hates being held for it. The best success we’ve had is catching her while she’s busy grooming herself or half-asleep and sneak in a few snips. It works best if you have them on a soft surface, though.

Either that or try to get someone else to hold him while you snip.
