Hi there,
So we’ve been going through about 2 months of bad GI issues with Binkie. He’s been to the vet twice and been on critical care and constant watch – it’s been a been a very difficult time needless to say. He’s been eating well, drinking well, and his poops have started to become more normal. So Sunday I stopped critical care, and started introducing Sherwood Forest pellets (he seems to like them) – which are supposed to be really good. However, every night since sunday he’s started to try and wake me up starting at 2 am. He’s a freeroam, so he starts knocking over my garbage can and chewing on doors and desks until I get up. He then gets very excited, and his penis will be out and he will run around my feet and occasionally try to hump me. He’ll relentlessly repeat this behaviour literally until I have to get up for work, so I’ve gotten about two hours of sleep per night this week. He has access to hay, water, food and I try to calm him down but nothing works. He’s not a rabbit that would regularly jump, so I’m at a loss as to what would cause such sudden behavioural change. Daylight savings happened last week, so I don’t know if that can affect their patterns. Or if a parasite or hormonal issue could be a possibility? He’s 5-6 years old, and I don’t know why there’d be a random sudden change. I’m just feeling worried and at a loss of what to do and would love any suggestions or know if anyone else has had this issue.
Thanks so much,
Tate
