Hello all, new to this website and raising my first bunny! My unspayed (she lives alone) five-year old doe has suddenly stopped eating her pellets. I’m not certain what her breed is, as I adopted her from a shelter but I believe she may be a mix, possibly part lionsmane. I’ve had her for approximately five years now, got her when she was three months old, and for some reason she has suddenly stopped eating her pellets. She still drinks, eats her hay, poops, and likes to chew on her cardboard box and run around her pen when I put her out to play. She also still accepts treats, the only difference is she for some reason has stopped eating her pellets. I didn’t change the brand, so I don’t understand why this is. Could it have something to do with the cooler weather and the fact it’s fall? My mother thinks she might just be saving food for the winter or something, but still I worry. She just finished another psedo-pregnancy, but I don’t think that could be it because she’s had those before and never done this. Anyway, any advice or reassurance would be much appreciated, I’m really rather worried! We have a vet we take her to to get her claws trimmed but no real rabbit-specializing ones near us and besides it’s too expensive and my mother probably wouldn’t agree to take her to a vet anyway. I really hope nothing’s wrong, sorry I’m just really worried!
