Well, not storing the bunnies, but storing the rabbit supplies.  Does anyone have any good, creative ideas for storing all the things that rabbits need?  Not the stuff the bun is actively using in her habitat, but stuff like food supplies, extra bedding and blankets, extra toys, grooming supplies, pet carriers, etc.  I don’t have a lot of space in my apartment, and I’m a little tired of tiptoeing around crates of rabbit things  The closet isn’t an option, and I don’t have a garage or shed or anything.

Maybe this isn’t the right forum board, but I bet someone here has some good ideas

Hi! So for me a use a little shelf with cubby holes and have bins in each one and on top of that I have a homemade shelf (I got two crates, painted them, stacked then on top of eachother and used bigger bind clips to keep them together It works well!

Hope this helps! Let me know what you do

I have a little stack of plastic drawers for some of the stuff that sits in the corner near their cage, next to their carriers. I keep the door of the bottom carrier open and it acts as a hidey space. The drawers mostly have toys, and toy parts and other random things in it. Their fleece blankets I keep in a storage tub that sits at the other end of their cage between it and my desk. There’s also shelves there with a few more bits and pieces. Their pellets I keep in the pantry, and their hay is stored outside. I have a toolbox with grooming supplies and first aid stuff that I keep on top of the plastic drawers.

What is your current set-up for her, OB? I can see a bit of pen in your profile pic. Does she have a x-pen home or is that exercise only space and she has a cage/hutch/condo? Do you set up pen each time then put it away?

I have two large plastic storage boxes, one I top up with hay from my big bags of hay, and one that is filled with bags of pellets, twigs, blankets, brushes, puppy pads and spare bowls etc. I also have two big glass jars, one full of pellets that is topped up from the box, and a jar full of ‘forage’ for hay topping.

It’s not great, but it does stop the stuff being scattered around the room, and it means the most used bits (hay and pellets) are easily accessible.

She has a cage that connects to an x-pen. They fit together, and the whole front of the cage folds down into a ramp. It’s set up that way all the time, so she can go in and out of the cage as she pleases, and I let her out when I am home and able to supervise for more exercise.

Right now, I have a pretty similar setup, with her food and litter in storage bins and her toys and grooming supplies in a shoebox. I’ve realized that if I get rid of or move some non-bunny things, I will have room for all the bunny things near her habitat, and it should work out nicely.

Okay, well since the x pen stays out, I was thinking you could put a table (like a card/camping table or console table) across the back portion, even sitting over the cage. It would make the cage undercover and she may like that. You could even put a mat down on the cage top and she could jump up on there when out in her pen but not be able to jump over pen from there. Then you could put all your supply crates up on top of the table. And maybe a small Christmas tree.
