While having my rabbit, I have noticed that she kinda makes this growling noise when I give her pellets. It is weird because I will pet her nicely before, and she will quietly make sounds of enjoyment with her teeth, but then when i bring out he pellets, she goes crazy. I bring in the bowl and she starts growling. When I try to add more pellets, she will growl. She hasn’t bit or nipped at me though. Is this normal?

Are you sure its a growl? My Blue makes soft honks and grunts when its food time, but he circles my feet so I know his noises are from enjoyment not aggression. If it is a growl, it could be food aggression.

Is she spayed? How much time does she spend out of her cage/hutch/pen each day? How much time do you spend with her each day?

For some bunnies it is, apparently. My little Bridge Bun, Olivia, did that as well. She was very territorial and I think it was part food agression, part aggression at me putting my hand in her space.

Hi! My bunny does that all the time lol. She is just very protective with her food=) I don’t think it’s anything to worry about though

Yep this happens to me on a regular basis. Usually when my husband gets Thor all riled up for pellet time It’s nothing to worry about, if she isn’t nipping then it’s just her expressing excitement (or perhaps impatience? ;P)
