My bun fell from a chair about two feet high when I was petting him b/c the sound of the garage opening scared him. His nail is broken and bleeding and a lot of it was broken off. The vets near me are closed currently. So far I have disinfected his living area and cleaned out his cage. He seems to be doing okay, and I managed to stop the bleeding w cornstarch. Any suggestions what to do next?

I’d say monitor his hopping and make sure his nail is the only injury. Make sure he’s still eating, pooping, and peeing after such an ordeal. If he’s not eating, do your best to get him to.

How is he acting? Any hunched behavior or actions which may insinuate pain?

He is eating and drinking, just not as much, but I fed him before the incident. Thank you for the reply
