  Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows anything about rabbits that breathe loudly. My little guy, Chip, has in more recent times been breathing pretty loudly, except it is only when he is asleep. I say loud but I mean loud for a rabbit, you know? His breathing is otherwise inaudible. I have noticed nothing else out of the ordinary, he acts about the same as always. I thought it was just him sleeping nice and deep, but I figured I would check in with some other bunny people. Thanks for your time!

  I’m not sure. If he’s having no other symptoms and only does it in his sleep, maybe he’s dreaming? I would wait for other people to reply but as far as I can suggest just watch for other symptoms and hope for the best?

  My Bindi snores and squeaks when he is in a deep sleep. I know that is just his normal as the vet has checked him out several times recently.
  
  I would get it checked out if it concerns you, even to just set your mind at ease. As we can’t tell you 100% whether it’s something to worry about or not. But I probably wouldn’t worry much if it is only during deep sleep and not while he’s awake and active.
  
  Does he have a flat face? My Bindi has a super squishy face and I think that’s part of the reason he snores so much.
