Ok, I love fluffykins so much it somtimes hurts. When I realise i will most likely have to experience his death. I’ve recently lost a parent, a very short while before I got fluffykins and thus death has been on my mind a lot. Anyway, enough of that, I just want to stress how much I love this little bunny is almost…unbelivable. It’s only been just over a month I’ve had him and the way my life revolves around him is… just somtimes breaks my heart when I try to imagine life without him.
So we’re going away next month for a week, booked shortly after the passing of my dad because I just needed to get away. I wanted to get away from the years of illness and watching a parent slowly die. I needed it. I don’t think I need it anymore. Not like how I needed it just a couple of months back; but it’s all done and booked now.
I’ve been stressing since the day we got fluffykins home about leaving him for a week. Now, he’s always been a bunny that loves to run madly and binky around etc, except for the last week or two. He’s just turned 13 weeks, and I’ve realised he’s so much more chilled out now. I know he’s still a baby and babies get less hyper as they grow up but, he’s not grown up yet?! He spends a lot more time sleeping now, and if I pick him up he’s happy to just snuggle down on my lap or arms. I do love the cuddle aspect of it but I can’t help but worry is he bored? Is he depressed? Why is he so seemingly tired?!
He still does the mad runs and binkys a bit, it’s just not at the level it was a few weeks ago. Is this normal? He has full run of my living room supervised so space isn’t an issue, he has a million and one toys (he does somtimes play with them) and I’m at home 24/7 right there interacting with him so I don’t understand how he might feel bored? It doesn’t actually seem like boredom, more laziness haha?! He’s eating and popping is all completely the same / fine so I don’t think I should worry about illness?
Is he just a really chilled out bunny? Or can he feel my apprehension of when I have to leave him for a week and he’s reflecting that? Please tell me my baby bunny is not sad? Is 13 weeks too early for baby activity levels to calm down?
