I had taken off Thursday and Friday this week so I had those two days and the weekend to try to get a couple of long sessions in (6-8 hours rather than our usual 4-5) but I’ve notice that they are both very upset when I attempt sessions in the morning. Usually they are done after work. This morning, Ophelia just kept trying to attack Quincy and I have no idea why. She was digging at him and just lunging and being a total jerk! Could she be upset about the time switch? Perhaps she wants her time to herself in the morning?? Lol. It’s just strange. I ended that attempt this morning and yesterday morning because of her constantly trying to fight. When I start the session in the afternoon around our normal time, she isn’t doing what she does in the morning.

This is very interesting! I never considered time of day to be a factor when bonding, however, it does make sense. Bunnies are mostly crepesucular, which means they are most active in the morning and at night. Perhaps Ophelia is more energetic in the morning, which leads her to behave more crazily. Rabbits are also animals that thrive off routine, so perhaps that could be a factor?

I can’t think of another explanation! They just go at each other if I try in the morning, then when I set them up in the afternoon they are totally fine! 6 hours yesterday evening with no issues at all, but in the morning it was like they were trying to kill each other!

Maybe try bringing the sessions forward just a little at a time, so an hour earlier one day, then again the next etc.
