Hi! 

We got an 11 month old dwarf bunny a few months ago. We were unaware at the time that she was pregnant but 2 weeks later she had babies! Unfortunately we lost one on the second day but we now have the mother and a 7 week old baby. They are both doing great and we intend to keep both bunnies but it is time for the baby to be weaned. The little one eats and drinks on her own but does still seem to nurse (she doesn’t try to nurse all the time like she used to but twice this week I have seen them do it first thing in the morning). They seem happy hanging out together, they sleep in the same hiding spot and I don’t want to separate them. We give them free roam of most of the apartment as they are very well behaved bunnies and mainly stay to the one (large) area.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I don’t want them nursing too long but not sure what is the best way to go about this.
