I have questions about some new types of veges I want to introduce. My husband is Filipino. So when he is home from work I have an abundance of asian type veges in the house and I hate to see them go to waste and rot.

Thing is every list I find of rabbit safe foods does not seem to have any idea of these veges  on it or not. I know bok choy is safe,

But what about chayote? since that is the most common thing he buys. I know its a type of squash.

Hmm, I am not sure about Chayote. I have read about many leafy greens used in asian cooking being safe for rabbits. In general, squash is safe for rabbits but it is quite starchy so should be fed in moderation. I’m not sure if chayote would be different? Anyone else feed this or any squash / melons to their bunnies?

I will try in a small bite taste test to see if the girls like it, right now I am introducing asparagus to Snow and only want to do 1 new food at a time. Tink has never had salad until we got her so everything salad is new to her, but she is not complaining she loves her salad no matter what is in it lol
