I got home and the TV cable was chewed, my rabbit managed to get in behind the sofa and because its not a direct electrical cord and is behind the sofa – rabbit proofing the TV cable cord wasn’t something I thought was needed .. I was wrong but Alex is okay… I mean he’s eating and drinking normal. He’s behaving normal too, not hiding or nothing and lets us touch his face/nose which is a huge positive imo…. I carefully touched the affected area/zone -pat- and he didn’t flinch or back up etc etc … very calm rabbit he is .. BUT

apart from reading about Neosporin I’m still unsure what to do/watch for going forwards, any advice?

        Here’s a picture..

Keep with plain neosporin (dont use the one with pain killer added, it has to be plain neosporin) and make sure the wound is clean. If he starts to get dirt in it, take a warm damp clean towel and gently clean the area.

On the plus side, it doesnt look like it bled and it looks pretty healthy If it starts to turn a darker or much brighter red, starts to swell or bruise, or he starts showing signs of pain, head to the vet for a check up.
