Spaying helps. No other suggestions besides the usual: move poops into the box, wipe up pee and put that cloth in the box, and move bun to the box if you catch them doing it outside.

Do you plan on spaying them? How old are they?

It’s a bit frustrating, but keep at the training and be patient. Some rabbits take a bit of time. Don’t get discouraged and remember to keep your rabbits perspectives in mind, so don’t get angry at them and don’t punish them– rather encourage and support the litter behaviors.

Younger rabbits are definitely harder to litter train, especially unspayed. You can spay a rabbit under the age of 1 though, so depending on a more specific age you might want to look into that. Not only for litter training but for avoiding health issues later down the track.

In saying that I had two old rescue females who were never spayed because the vets weren’t comfortable spaying an older rabbit. I was able to litter train them quite easily when I brought them inside, but they were much older. At least 9 or 10 when I taught them.

Keep trying, don’t give up! If you haven’t already it is worth starting with more than one litter tray. Put on in each of bun’s favourite spots to go in (most likely corners) and always feed bunny in the tray because they tend to poop where they eat. I find mine like to pee where they drink too, so I have a separate tray for my water bowl. Some rabbits do get the hint better if you leave their tray a bit messier and put stray poos in their tray. Others prefer a regularly cleaned tray. See what your bun prefers.
