I was seriously thinking maybe I was underestimating how hard bonding is. I just couldn’t believe this woman was telling me rabbits don’t get along with other rabbits! I know yes, some don’t, and yes, bonding can be hard, but in my experience they are social creatures who can do well in a pair. There are some rabbit rescues around. I went to the shelter because it was the easiest to get to and I met the bunnies before talking to her so of course I fell in love and wanted them all.
I will definitely look at her posts, thanks!
Your bunnies look like my Tilly and Gizmo! Who clearly didn’t get along and I just made it all up http://imgur.com/3Przr5X
Maybe she isn’t used to talking to people who have bonded pairs, and was referring to the fact that you can’t just put two rabbits together and expect them to get along without going through the whole bonding process?
I wonder if she is used to dealing with people who think they are like dogs, which mostly get along with other dogs without incident.
But, yeah I agree that she doesn’t sound like much of an “expert”!
