  So one of the bunny’s birthday present was a plastic bucket for them to throw around. We gave it to them last Sunday and the following morning discovered that Peanut the little rascal had chewed and swallowed some of the plastic handle. Since then I’ve just been paranoid that he’s going to have a blockage. To make matters worse, the day before yesterday he also nibbled some of the rubber bits on the side of the wooden stair gate. I had my back turned for 30 seconds! Anyway, I’m more paranoid now. He’s been acting his usual self (since the bucket incident!), eating plenty and pooping tons but I keep thinking is he pooping enough? He’s also drinking plenty and peeing. To be honest he’s absolutely normal but I’m so worried that the plastic might be stuck inside him??

  If his poops are normal, big and plentiful, I would think it would have made it’s way out by this point.

  Lovely poops generally indicate that the bucket and gate have been processed.

  He’s a plastic and rubber fiend!
  
  His poops have always been on the small side but he is doing plenty! I just would have thought I’d see the plastic in his poop?

  Rabbits are exceptionally good chewers. As in, they chew whatever is in their mouths really REALLY well.

  I’m away from home right now, and apparently Boo has been bad and munched half a plastic wrapper while my hubby chased him around the apartment… oh bunny don’t you know you’re not a goat?

  I feel like I can relax as I’ve seen him do little mountains of poop That little terror sure does like to worry me!

  I have a theory that buns like certain types of plastic because it offers resistance to their incisors but at the same time is soft enough to make for an enjoyable sensation as their wee sharp teeth sink in.

  ……. so I am not the only one with a bun that has an appetite for anything rubber!! She has chewed shoe soles, dumbells that had a rubber coating, the rubber stoppers on the sides of the baby gate….. They always end up fine without blockages but I am paranoid too!

  Has your Peanut done lots of poops ??? I was worried when Sassy chewed some of the rubber on a bowl I’d gotten for her…. Sassy was ok… but I was so nervous. Does Peanut eat lots of hay????

  Yeah he’s a little hay fiend Tons of poops, I swear he’s done so many today…probably to make up for worrying me!

  I know what you are going through Sarah! Juliet will stuff her face with anything she can get her mouth on. I get extremely paranoid also. Since he is pooping a lot, that is a good sign that it has most likely passed or it hasn’t done any damage.
