So lux wasn’t taking her favorite snacks or going right after her veggies and kept laying low in her bed and running to the litter box back and forth. Took her out and she ran to one of her favorite spots and layed pressed to the ground. We picked her up and was rubbing her tummy and I kid you not like 30 poops just one after another was coming out. Is everything ok? She was still eating every coated seed we gave her but not her yogurt bites she loves and she isn’t going straight for the veggies. Her stomach is perfectly squishy. I feel like this has happened before and when I woke up her veggies were gone and she was ok.

Sounds like gas. Tummy rubs are good. Simethicone can be given as well to help break up the gas bubbles. If she pooped just now, she probably had some relief. I would avoid the yogurt treats. They could be a contributing factor.

I just went to Walmart and got the baby stuff. I won’t give her yogurt treats anymore then. But she pooped like 30 times when we weren’t rubbing her belly and was eating some cilantro when hand feeding her it.

How much do I give her?

So she took the gas drops so fast and loved them. Put her back in her cage and she’s just laying down. I poke her and she’s not really moving until I like her a lot then she gets pissed and gets up and moves. She went to her bed and is laying down now. I sure hope she’s ok

Typical dosage is 1cc (20mg/ml suspension) every hour for 3 hours and then 1cc every 3-8 hours. With Leopold, I’ve never needed to use more than 2 doses and he’s typically feeling better after just one.

She took like 3-4 drops as she drank it fast. I’m just so nervous. Her ears are perked up and she’s relaxing in her bed. I don’t want to loose her . Me and my wife put her on our bed and she was trying to burrow and throw my wife’s phone. I sure hope my sweet little girl is ok.

She’s sitting now grooming herself that’s a good sign right?

20 minutes after giving her the meds I went to go check on her and she was in her bed all alert and I kind of have her a push and she jumped outta bed and like stuck her butt in the air and I swear I heard a fart. She then started grooming her self jumped up on her ledge then I picked her up and heard the big gurgling fart soundagain. Is that good news?

I mean I tried to force feed her water and she took about half of it. She keeps wanting to lay in her bed after I push her out. Gave her the drops about an hour ago I need some sleep. I swear I hope she’s ok

Good signs! And throwing the phone was too, showing some bunnitude.
I always saw a turn around within 20-30 minutes of giving simethicone. It does sound as if this may have been a gas episode. Had she been herself up until this? Normal appetite, moving around as usual? Been upset by noises or visitors? Had she been introduced to any new foods? Is she moulting?
Anything out of the norm that may have brought this on?

                                    Hi Xxxventanaxx!
It’s very promising that she farted It was good you made her move around too, even if it made her pissed. A very poorly lethargic rabbit doesn’t get pissed, it just lies there and takes it.

100% alert plus that she’s been washing herself and tried to burrow are also great signs. I agree with a LBJ, 1-2 doses on baby gas drops often works wonders.

btw, if you’re looking into an alternative treat for her, freeze dried fruits might be a winner.

Oh she’s back to 100% normal. Went to a event and came back 7 hours later andall veggies are gone, all pellets were gone and half the way was gone so she was hungryyyyy. She’s back to playing with toys throwing them and rearranging her cage so glad she’s ok

Lux ran around today binking a lot and relaxing under her favorite chair. Gave her kale to her and she ate some of it and went right back to her bed. She’s eating treats and all so I assume she’s ok. Just after last night you will be worried for a day or two.

It can come back the next day. Then you give gas drops again and try to figure out what it is in her diet that causes it. It could still be yoghurt drops though, in case they’ve disrupted her Gi microbiota a little bit. In that case, you just stay away from the yoghurt drops and feed her lots of hay and it will right itself with time.

Is she molting/starting a molt? Many rabbits get a more sensitive tummy when they are molting.
