  Hooray we finally brought home our new bun! I’ll start a bonding journal and talk about how he and Thor are doing in a separate thread. But for now let me introduce the cutie
  
  First, sorry no naming fiesta, his shelter name was “Boo Boo” and we thought it was pretty great for him, and have shortened it to just “Boo”
  
  He’s a Californian bun, 1.5 yrs old, rescued from a slaughterhouse about 7 months ago. He was in horrible conditions, severely overweight and had such bad malocclusion that they had to completely remove his front incisors! He is much trimmer now, but perhaps has a bit more weight to lose, he’s tipping the scales currently at 7lbs.
  
  His missing teeth don’t seem to have impeded his ability to eat at all! He’s already munched on his hay, salad and pellets since coming home with us this morning. He’s very active and inquisitive. For a rescue bun he is also amazingly sweet and trusting, he came over to flopped next to me for pats already <3 <3
  
  Anyways I’m already in love with him, and I dearly hope Thor will be too soon!

  Boo is precious! Thank you for adopting a shelter bunny and giving him a wonderful home. I hope that the bonding goes well.

  He is beautiful!!!! I adore Calis!!!! Every Cali I’ve ever met is just a big, lovey sweetheart. I think Sterling is half Cali. Congrats to you both!!!

  He groomed me today. Licked my feet and legs all over.
  
  And now he’s flopped by my feet. I think I love him! It’s a problem, what if they don’t get along? I’d be heartbroken to bring him back. What percentage of bonds don’t work out?

  Sigh, hopefully with time they will just become great love-bugs and we don’t have to decide!
  
  Side note, I discovered today that in fact Boo does have one singular front peg tooth left. He’s such a hill-bunny

  My two boys didn’t work out but to be fair, I’m kind of a high-stress bonder and I was unwilling to put Bindi under a lot of stress due to his age and conditions. I do feel that if I had someone experienced to help me, I could have made it work. I tried for a couple of weeks until Bindi lunged at Sterling and took a big chunk out of my hand.
