  Greebo is constantly spilling his water bowl. Multiple times a day he goes through a craze where he spends a minute or two sprinting everywhere and jumping over/on everything. This apparently includes spilling and often flipping his water bowl. Or sitting in Terry and Maggie’s large one when I give him some free time in the study while they are out the room. I have some photos of his fully soaked bottom I will share later.
  
  I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with something like this and how you solved it? I’m not comfortable using those bottles, they get stuck too easily. Although I guess I could get one as a back up source just in case. I just don’t want to rely on one as my main option.
  
  My husband and I are thinking of weighing down the underneath of his current water bowl, but I thought I would ask her for other ideas too. Any thoughts?
  
  Or maybe I should just attach little weights to Greebo’s legs to slow him down!

  I use a very wide, heavy ceramic bowl. My buns have never flipped it or tried to toss it, although they push it around a bit. It’s actually meant for human use (haha), but works perfectly. I have a bottle as a backup.
  
  I think there are crocks that clip to the side of a cage, that could work. Also look into bowls meant for dogs. I’ve seen styles that are meant to be tough to flip.

  I’ve got a water bowl made for a small dog that seems to work very well. It is wide bottomed and very heavy. Maybe 6 in in diameter? Thor’s never flipped it, although I did place it purposely in an area where she doesn’t binky (under a table) so that may help

  Yes the water crocks work very well, I’ve used it for my bunny before and she never spilled it and she used it.

  Thanks everyone! I did find a few good no spill dog bowl options online. I want to see some in person though to make sure Greebo can reach easily and fit his chubby cheeks into it!

  In my experience the heavy crock or stoneware bowls (wide and not too deep) seem to be the common choice

  I agree with a heavy ceramic dog bowl. I have one that’s about 7 inches wide, it’s nice and heavy and the buns have never spilled it.

  Thanks, I think I will pick one of those up tomorrow and hope that does it. We are on a record of no spills for 8 hours!

  My rabbit does it all the time and I just let him. I don’t know if there is such products free from spilling.

  I use one of those like jug self filling water bowls as then it doesn’t take up too much space and I don’t have to worry about my girl running out of water or spilling it as it’s quite heavy. I don’t fill the jug up all the way and I refill with fresh water every other day, using the leftover water to give to my plants so I don’t waste any

  Haha, when I was using a ceramic rabbit water bowl, Buttercup loved picking it up or nudging it with her head lol I’ve since upgraded to a ceramic dog bowl and it’s too heavy for her now

  I bought one of these a few days ago and am really happy with it! I wanted to give my bun a dish because the water bottle was so loud and I’d read that dishes in general are better. This one is really secure but easy to take out and wash/refill. So far it’s worked out….except this morning I did find a toilet paper roll I’d given the bun to play with sitting in it. LOL
